Saturday morning we left at about 6:15 for Michigan - snowmobiles in tow. We arrived in Watersmeet, MI and unloaded and we were on the trail by 8:30. Headed north through Bruce Crossing, Mass City and arrived in Twin Lakes for lunch. Carrie ate some flaming hot chili so she stunk the rest of the day.
From there we went north and took the Freda loop. Ended up back at South Range for a little gogo. Back on the trail again we headed back down trail 13 to Greenland. Tried a bit of offtrail but ended up on a rutted up logging road. Ended up getting a hand from some others to get turned around and headed back toward the trail.
Once to Greenland, we headed to Rockland and had a soda at Henry's. Back to the grind we headed out for home. It was rough afternoon on the trails. Made it back through Bruce Crossing, Bond Falls, and back to watersmeet by about 6:30pm. Loaded up and headed for the BCR.
225 miles for the day.
On the way home we stopped at the Thirsty Whale for dinner - they had a private party so we had beer and appetizers. Then we could not decide where to eat dinner so we ended up at mcdonalds. Back to the BCR by 9 - sleds in the garage and drying out by 9:15.
Sunday - I let Carrie drive me home.
