Somo Lake Fishing

Cameran and I headed up to the cottage on Friday Febraury 26th. We got a late start and as such ended up getting there pretty late. Cam slept good in the car. Saturday we got going and loaded up the Old Blue with all our fishing stuff. We played outside for a bit and then headed to Somo Lake to fish with Grandpa for the day. We got there around 11:00 or so and just in time for lunch. They were out there smoking 50lbs of Ribs since 6:00am.

I put a few tip ups in and had some lunch. I must have pulled Cam around that lake 100 times in his sled. An ATV and a sled is the lazy man's sledding hill. We pulled the tip ups around 230 and headed for the tent for the drawing results. Once again, we didn't catch any fish or win anything at the raffle. Back home for us to make dinner and relax.

Sunday we headed over to Grandpa's to take a look at the 2007 POO as it was having issues starting in the past few weeks. We traced a few issues and found the hand warmers were not working at all. We left it there with my mechanic (Grandpa) to take a better look at it. Grandpa also has a snowmobile for Cam that we took a look at. He was so excited and wanted to take it home then. This is actually a snowmobile that my dad had bought new for Danny and I when we were kids. He sold it around 1993 or so and then found it for sale a few years back. He restored it to where it is today. Kind of cool that it is the same one I learned on.

We came home and went sledding for awhile and then packed up to head home. I can't wait for next years sledding hill as it is going to be better than ever.

Back to Pewaukee by 4:00pm.

We had a great weekend with just the boys.
