SO - we headed out friday late for some time in the northwoods. We made it up there about 9:30 friday night and pretty much went to bed.
Saturday we got going early and got all loaded up with the 4 wheeler and shanty heading for Somo Lake near tomahawk. -24 on the thermometer. My Dad was out there already and of course not really catching anything. By the time we got there it was around 9am and about 0 or so. Sunny and no wind.
It turned out to be a great day on the lake. Temp rose to around 30. Actually got a little sunburn. We had a great time playing on the 4 wheeler, fishing and hanging out with friends and family.
We left about 4 and headed for home. Once there we decided to go for dinner on the snowmobiles. We went toward a resturant that we had been to last year on the mobiles. Finally reached our destination and they were closed - forever. No chance of them being open. We turned and went back the way we came and parked them for the night back home at the cottage. We ate there and played for a bit before hittin the sack.
Sunday I tried my hand at getting the starter back in Ole Blue. I did get it in, but still having some minor issues - mainly that it still does not start. Screw it. I will fix it in the spring as it was -10 when i was putting it in. Back home to Pewaukee by 5 or so.
Lesson of the week - There are no fish in Somo Lake.
