June bugs

Cameran had been up all week with grandma and grandpa so Carrie and I headed up on Friday June 18th. We arrived late and really did not do much besides have a few beers. Saturday we got going and put the new bed together that I had built at our home in Pewaukee the week before. It really turned out pretty good for just using construction lumber.

After that we loaded up the four wheelers and headed to Harrison Hills for a bit of fun. We got all of them on the trailer and headed out for the day. Cameran loved the new RZR and not once did he say he wanted to go home.

After a few hours of traveling, lunch, snacks, and a few beverages, we headed home for dinner and a camp fire. Cam then decided that he was old enough to ride the big four wheeler by himself. He did really well and for a 5 year old, really pays attention to detail. His big thing was that he could put the trailer on and haul anything we needed from the garage.

Sunday we got going and headed for Lake Alva which is nearby our cottage. We had seen and heard of some large crappies that we started looking for. Although we were marking tons of fish, we came home with only one smallmouth. Once home we did a few chores and then Cam, Carrie, and I headed home.

It was a great fathers day weeekend for me and we could not have had better weather.
